About the Artist
My name is Dejouir Brown. I go by the artist name “Jouirnoe,” a nickname given to me in high school because my name sounded similar to “DiGiorno.” I’m a muralist and graphic designer based in Pittsburgh. My style comes from the essence of comic books and graffiti—two of my biggest inspirations growing up—which I later used to develop logos for brands and cover art for albums by well-known musicians, allowing me to reach many people through my abilities.
Art is my language; it gives me a voice to express and create things that never existed until I decided to bring them into this reality with vivid colors and an active imagination. My work ranges from digital prints to aerosol painting to wood cut-outs finished with epoxy resin coats to help preserve the art.
